The Indian Business Forum is an arm under the umbrella of the Indian Association Uganda which focuses on strengthening business perspective for Indians and persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) in Uganda to deliberate on issues that enhance business development and also build business networks that command impressive results.

Our mission is to create a dynamic environment where entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors can come together to share knowledge, explore opportunities, and forge meaningful partnerships. At The Indian Business Forum Uganda, we firmly believe in the power of networking and collective synergy. Our primary objectives are centered around facilitating an ecosystem that supports the aspirations and ambitions of our members. We strive to:
  • 1 Pursue matters of common interest to Indian nationals, or people of Indian Origin residing in Uganda or companies owned by them in Uganda.
  • 2 Improve the working and investment environment in Uganda Liaise with the Indian Government and Ugandan Government representatives where appropriate on business related issues relevant to Uganda.
  • 3 Work towards improving commerce between India and Uganda. Both Indian companies wanting to do business/Trade in Uganda, and Ugandan companies for business/Trade in India.
  • 4 Organize bilateral and multilateral meetings between business associations and organizations, both within and outside Uganda, with whom the association’s members share business interest.
  • 5 Make the association a strong player in the economy of Uganda through services provided to the business community and generate funds to support the associations activities related to business.
  • 6 Play an important role by contributing towards the development of good industrial and business policies by engaging in appropriate government agencies and departments.
  • 7 Develop the Association as a regional center of Knowledge and learning.
  • 8 Encourage the development of professional skills at all levels within the workforce.
