India-Uganda Business Conclave

Uganda-India Business Conclave organized by the High Commission of India in Kampala jointly with Indian Business Forum (IBF), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

8^th April 2024 function was held at High Commission of India Premises. Function was graced by Hon. Evelyn Anite State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization. Other dignitaries present included Mr. Dammu Ravi Secretary (Economic Relations) Ministry of External Affairs, Hon. Fred Opolot Chairman Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Indian Affairs, High Commissioner of India to Uganda, High Commissioner of Uganda to India, Permanent Secretary National Water & Sewerage Corporation, Chairman Uganda manufacturers Association, Director from Private Sector Foundation Uganda and delegates from Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) including Indian Business Forum Executive Committee members.

On 9^th April 2024 at Kabira country Club, Indian Business Forum (IBF) Director General Rajesh Kumar signed MOUs with FICCI, in the presence of Hon Anite Evelyn, State Minister for Finance in charge of Privatisation and Investment, Government of Uganda, Mr. R Ganapathi, Chairman Trigyn Technologies Ltd and Chairman, FICCI Africa Council, Mr. Trushar Upadhyay, Honorary Advisor – East Africa, FICCI, Mr. Steven, Director and Board Member, UNCCI and other dignitaries from Uganda and India. The MOUs will pave the way for FICCI and IBF to collaborate for greater cooperation and partnerships for enhancing bilateral trade and investments between India and Uganda.

Function was attended by other Ministers and Diplomats including Hon. Frank Tumwebaze Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (Uganda), Uganda Investment Authority Director General Mr. Robert Mukiza, Uganda Manufacturers Association Executive Director, High Commissioner of Uganda to India, Mr. Dammu Ravi Secretary (Economic Relations) Ministry of External Affairs and High Commissioner of India to Uganda.
