IBF and UNBS Joint Event to Support Indian Business Community

The executive committee members of the Indian Business Forum (IBF) recently held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) and other department heads responsible for standards, certification, compliance, and importation. The purpose of this meeting was to address and discuss the business challenges faced by the Indian Business Community in Uganda.

During the meeting, the IBF executive committee members engaged in constructive discussions with the UNBS representatives. They highlighted the key challenges encountered by Indian businesses in relation to standards, certifications, compliance with regulations, and importation processes. The UNBS officials provided valuable insights into the regulatory frameworks and procedures, aiming to facilitate a better understanding and collaboration between the Indian Business Community and the UNBS.

Recognizing the significance of addressing these challenges, the IBF and UNBS agreed to collaborate on a joint event specifically designed for the Indian Business Community. The event will serve as a platform to create awareness, provide guidance, and foster a stronger partnership between Indian businesses and the UNBS. It will focus on educating and assisting Indian businesses in meeting the required standards, certifications, and compliance regulations, ultimately enhancing their business operations and market access in Uganda.

The joint event planned by the IBF and UNBS demonstrates their shared commitment to support the Indian Business Community in overcoming business challenges and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Through this collaborative effort, the IBF and UNBS aim to create a conducive business environment, facilitate trade, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Indian Business Community in Uganda.
